2012 Toyota 4Runner SQ+ build

In the spot where your sunglasses used to be, and that is the control for the DSP? How do you like that DSP ? User friendly, would you suggest it too a first time user of a dsp? Can you give a short review of it basically. I'm thinking about switching to either the helix pro or minidsp. I bought a PPI 88r but I'm thinking of going for a better unit I guess @lowcell

Oh, the foam was there so I would have something to apply the body filler to. I added a little foam behind the controller in order to space the controller out properly. From the reviews I have read I would skip the 88r, a lot of people have problems with it. If you want to stay in a budget go with the minidsp 6x8. If you don't care to spend the extra money the Helix is awesome. I am pretty new to this whole thing but I am really happy with the Helix.

Yeah I already have the PPI 88r I might sale it and go for the minidsp. Its a guy selling a helix pro for $750.00 on caco.com right now I really can't see myself paying out that much, especially after the thousands of dollars I've already spent on all my other gear and I still need two more batts. Before I can start installing. I plan to try and do all of my install, I have some pretty neat ideas of they way I want things put in so I'll give it a shot myself.

Temporarily installed the new amp. The second Zapco will be delivered on Monday.

I lucked into some awesome new speakers I plan on trying out, Audible Physics 2.5's for the dash. I will be changing them after the competition next weekend.

I ended up working on a friend's car all weekend. I built a box and some a-pillars for him. He will have to have the pillars professionally upholstered, I wouldn't know where to start.

Let us know how you like that zapco. I'm really eyeing the 150.6lx. I'm running a zapco monoblock on my sub and the build quality and appearance is awesome.
Will do. So far I'm very happy with it. I haven't got the tune right yet but it is getting closer.

I've got both amps installed now.

First, threaded brass inserts.

Next, security torx screws.

New cover panel built. Now I just need to mount the plexiglass and wrap the panel in vinyl.

I'm sure you can tell the difference between it and the ppi's ?? Power wise and sq ?
I was actually surprised that the PPI P1000.1 was stronger than the Zapco. The quality of the Zapco once I get everything tuned should more than make up for it. Not to mention, they are freaking S.E.X.Y!!!

Finished up the amp install today. I think it turned out pretty nice.
