Hi all. So I took a shot at installing an after market head unit myself since it sounded easy enough. The wiring kit I got matched the back of the factory head unit and I spliced the wires together from the harness kit and the new head unit. The problem is this red piece with a lone blue/white wire. There is one that it can attach to from the original car wiring but not to the back of the new head unit. I was kind of hopeful it would just be an unnecessary extra but it sounds like that wire powers the whole head unit and I can't for the life of me figure out how it ties in. there are no blue/white wires in the harness kit so I'm kind of lost. Any ideas? and of course all of the youtube walk through videos have santa fe head units with different wiring ports in the back so those would be different kits all together. any help would be greatly appreciated as I havent given up yet and just taken it to an audio installer.
