2008 Kia Hatchback 12" SE Build

Looks good, but I would add more deadener. I have fatmat, which is a cheaper alternative to dynamat and seems to work just as good. I have used them all, just about. Also I covered 100% of mine and took over 100sqft from fatmat and 40sqft from Second Skin damp. That is everything cept the roof and floor. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif It does add up and I still flex, lol! Rattle, not so much.
Also nice price on highs amp. You would want a fuse distro block I believe.
Does Fatmat work just like dynamat extreme? I just want to peel the backing off and slap that bad boy on. I really don't want to buy a heat gun.

I found out there is a shop about 20 minutes away that sells Damplifier and I'm gonna more than likely go with that.

Anyway, UPS came today with a toy and Fedex should be here later with another.

This is the box Spy built for me. He did a great job. UPS decided to slam it down on my doorstep and chipped off a good size chunk on the front top opposite the port.

Anyway, not much but here it is. I'm going to get some spray on bedliner and get it coated hopefully after work.

Oh christ! I didn't use a heat gun, just clean and prepped and was good to go. Been on for quite some time now.

Yes, if you are doing it in the cold, you will need a heat gun. I did it when it was warm out with no problems. Was easier to install than my damplifier that cut the shit out of my hands.

I put 200sq ft of fatmat in my Yukon and never used a heat gun. Stuck pretty darn well. I got the kind before they went to the fancy blue decal on it, back when it was just plain shiny aluminum backing.

it makes it easier to maneuver and work into small areas after using a heat gun
It has a peel type backing and is easy to install compared to the old days with asphat based mats. Yes, I know they say it is still asphalt based or what most people believe and probably is as it throws off some smell, but you don't need a heat gun for it. Only if it is cold or you don't know how to prep a car. I have done both and trust me, you don't need it for this or hardly any newer type deadener, especially the byutal type deadeners.

I do not miss my old school dynamat that took litterally weeks to deaden because I had to use a heat gun.

OP isn't using it anyway, using Second Skin, which he deffintley don't need a heat gun for.

Good luck and look foward to some moar pics!

Also looks like you are using photobucker Simpson. Just hit the tag button under the pic, so we don't have to click on the link for a pic. Will come up like my thread did you peeped at.
