Feeding the sub 800w RMS for now, it's not causing any visible problems so i'll leave it for now.

The wires are still sloppy but they're getting cleaned up tomorrow along with the box wings and amp board.

I'm still having that front speaker whine, can't figure out whats causing it for the life of me. I'm going to make new grounds tomorrow and see if that is it, if not then i'll move the rca to the other side of the car and see if that works. And go from there.

looks good man
Thanks

All you need to do is tidy up, carpet or cover that box with something, and it should be a-ok man.
Thanks, yeah i just got done carpeting the box, have to run out to get some RCA's because while trying to trouble shoot the speaker whine i broke the other RCA's. But after i get the new ones hooked up, the box back in the car then the work on the amp rack will start.

Pics will be up later.

Carpeted the box today.

While removing the RCA's from the other side, i broke them i straight up ripped them in half so i bought some new ones. Ran them on the passenger side and still no change in the speaker whine.

Still sounds like you're trying to tune a radio. =/ what else could it be?

It only does it when the hifonics is powered if i turn the hifonics off it doesnt do it.

Keep up the work. One tip there should be a nice grommet on the driver side of the car for power wire. Power wire down one side and rca on other side if you dont have it like that already.
idk what a grommet is, but the power wire is ran 4ga and 2ga on the passenger side and the rca's on the driver side

dont ground your deck to factory ground, make a new one.
also ground rcas on deck.
how exactly do you ground rca's on the deck?

thanks for the tip

nice to see a build in a GA
but need to clean it up.. badly
you have a GA also don't you? from your avatar it looks like a GA trunk.

Where do you have your grounds ran? right now mine are on those bolts right behind the seats, they worked fine before but now that I looked at them, they are only metal, touching metal on the frame, i'm trying to find something else but can't find anything!

yes, i have a GA.. for ground im using the seat bolt, yes it isnt metal to metal, what you need to do is remove both bolts and take the black piece of metal, sand down around the bolt holes on the chassis, sand around the bolt holes on the black piece of metal on both sides.

you just basically need to sand down where the metal makes the connection on the chassis and the black piece.. to ensure a metal-metal contact.. its really the only place you can ground to thats within 36" of where you can place an amp, unless you bolt it to the frame underneath the car.. which is actually the best possible ground.. but it would be longer than the recommended 3ft.

Thats the exact method i was thinking of last night. I'll go out and do that right now, if that doesnt fix the whine, idk wtf i'm going to do. probably break something xD

the whine is probably from your rcas or outputs... do you have the RCAS ran on the seperate side of the car than the power wire is ran? even rem wire can cause it..
