2 type R VS 1 12L7

Which one would sound louder 2 type R 12in or 1 12L7.

The L7 would be in an ported box and the type R's in a sealed.

The Type Rs sealed should sound better. The louder would depend on the tuning of the ported box I guess.

if the two Type R's have enough power, I'd think two would be louder than one. But it will depend on power and enclosure...

Both would have a Mono block 1200 watt RMS amplifier at 1 Ohm.

I wouldn't put that much power on a type R personally.

i dont like type rs to be honest..too quiet and they dont even have very good sq.. id go with the L7.. it was one of my favorite SPL subs.

Alright now my question is which one of those 2 would you and why?

i have two 12" type R's in a sealed enclosure. they have pretty good sq and they can get pretty **** loud too. i think that amp would suit it fine since the type r's can take much more than 300 rms which is what they are recommended at. just be careful on the gains and im sure u wont regret ur purchase.

if u do get the type r's make sure u get the 4 ohm version since only those can be wired to a 1 ohm load.
