2 Type-R 10's.. Need an Amp

They are both dual voice coil speakers. I'll be running them at 4ohms because apparently I don't want to do 1ohm because of sound quality. Unless there is a way to set it up for 2ohm which I don't know of.

1. aren't kicker, hifonics, diamond audio, phoenix gold amps pretty good?

I understand that some amps don't have true wattage it is rated at. So I guess what I'm asking is suggestions on which brands are the ones to stick with in terms of true wattage. Again I'm looking to run full 500rms watts@4ohms...

2. Last but not least if the speaker says it's 500watts rms@ 4ohms does it mean it needs 500watts to run at full potential??

Why not run at 1 ohm? To properly power those subs at 4 ohm, your gonna end up spending excess money wastefully. The SQ won't decrease, even if it did your ears could never detect it.

If your on a budget look for a Planet Audio 2250 or PA3000db

If you got some cash to burn, Kicker, Rockford, Diamond, Arc, Orion are all nice amps and still afforable.

cool. Ill try running them at 1ohm. now tell me how do i wire the two speaker to be 1ohm??

my friend has 2 10" Rs in ported box hooked up to http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3804 and they really wang... wire them to 1 ohm and thell prob get like 700watts a peice...
