2 subs = 2x recomended box size???

Originally posted by chase297 If type x sub was recomended for 1 cubic feet of space in a sealed box, would 2 sub x require 2 cubic feet or would it stay at one? Thanks

If the recommend size is 1 cubic foot per sub And you have 1 sub then ur box needs to be 1 cubic foot. 2 subs then 2 cubic feet. Simple math...

dont forget to acount for double the displacment of the drivers as well....basicly you have it, everything gets multiplied by a factor of 2.

best way to build a box for 2 subs is build 2 compartments so if one sub has a little different output than the other they don't effect each other. They were made by humans so they probly aren't exactly the same especially if your running them on 2 sepperate amps then the amps also made by humans have the potential to have slightly different signals so they might mess with the sound to.

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...
