hehe this thread reminds me of my buddy who bought a clarion cd player. he installed it and had his remote wire and power antenna wire flipped around, couldn't figure out why his amps would work when the radio was on but not when the cd player was on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well then I'm using the power antenna wire for my amp. It works just fine so screw it I'm leaving well enough alone.

what d o you need wire colors for your truck??? buy a wiring harness its like 18 bucks

I have a wiring harness; every car/truck make and model doesn’t use all the wires found on an aftermarket wiring harness. Come on, have you seen a stock truck with a power antenna?

I think what bassanator was referring to was getting an aftermarket stereo to factory wiring harness adapter. Available at any car audio shop, Circuit City, Best Buy, Car Toys, Good Guys, whatever you have available locally, as well as Wal-Mart. The most common brands are Scosche and Metra.

You match your new head unit's wiring to the adapter color for color then simply plug the adapter into the stock Isuzu harness that plugged into the OEM stereo.

$18 seems a bit high to me as most I've seen run in the neighborhood of $10~$12 but maybe where bassanator lives they go for a bit more than I'm used to. However, even at $20 to me it's well worth it to save the headache trying to figure out wiring. (I'm just lazy like that)
