1. Can i run different guage power wire like 4 and 0 mismatch, i heard its not recomended.

2. Having acid batteries in the trunck along with amplifiers. The gas produced with discharge, isnt it corrosive? wouldnt it damage amps?

number 1

you can run 4 ga from the batter to a distobution block then go 2 8ga wires from there AS LONG AS you have a 4ga ground or a ground block

#2 get a sealed battery,like an optima

what up miami im in palm beach

dont run a acid battery in the trunk bad idea

lmk if u want to scoop up an optima from me for the low i got 2 sittin here pick up only

pm me to talk it up

depends on what you mean exactly. if you are planning on taking an 0 gauge wire and then crimping a 4 gauge wire to it (maybe you didnt have enough of each wire to make your run?) the whole run itself will only be as conductive as about a 4 gauge wire. not to mention its pretty ghetto. now if you want to run an 0 gauge wire to a splitter then bring out multiple 4 gauge runs to feed various devices then that would be ok. but you could only split the 0 gauge with 4 gauge so many times before it starts conducting less. so it depends on how many devices you are planning on feeding.

and yea optima batteries or kinetiks (sp) would be fine in the trunk of a car. any battery really as long as its totally sealed.

the trunk will be sealed off the cabin. Will the gas destroy the amps?

With the wires i meant, i have a run of 4 guage pos and a run of negative, and adding to that a runs of thicker wire 0 gauge.

mismatching runs of powere wire.

I wanted to know if it makes any difference or not, because ive read that one should stick to same gauge size power wires.

Why go all the way back to the hood for the 4? Just get a distribution block for the 0 gauge.

Run ONLY sealed batteries inside the car. Too much can go wrong with a lead acid vented battery.

If you're trying to run 7k rms you badly need more than a run of 0 gauge and a run of 4 gauge. You need 2 runs of 0 gauge MINIMUM and even at that you'd be lucky to get 6k rms through em, you really need 3 runs of 0 gauge for each, positive and negative

I'm assuming you don't have the equipment in your sig yet? Don't bother with vented batteries, especially for a high power system, go with some big sealed high current batteries

For a daily system 2 runs of pos & neg of 1/0 wire would do you for 7k rms. I doubt you'd notice any difference from 3 runs. At worse case with the car off running full tilt your amps would require around 660 amperes @ 12.2 volts. 2 runs of 1/0 could handle 700. 3 runs would give you less of a voltage drop (less resistance) but unless you're competing it probably won't make much of an audible difference for you, especially when your car is running and you get 13.8+ volts, providing you beef up your alternator, which is a must on a daily system pulling 7k.

Definitely going to need a bank of large batteries. Several Kinetik HC2400 or Powermaster D3100.

7000 / 12 = 583, add in 30% for inefficiency and you're up to 758.

Yes, this is 100% draw, which won't happen unless full volume on test tones... but it is ALWAYS good to over-engineer something, especially when talking about this kind of power.

if you use non sealed batteries you will more than likely need to run 1 or 2 more than the same sized agm cells and you would also need to vent the fumes outside of the car somehow. with 7kw of power i would use 3 group 31 agm batteries like a kinetik 2400s and several runs of 0 ga wire

U guys dont think that my deka 8d can go up againt deka 9a31?

there was testing done on 9a31 but i cant find it anymore.

All i know about agm batts is that they last longer and maintance free and last longer and twice as expensive as acid, but havent heard that they more powerfull than acid batts.

I gave a 15% inefficiency. I didn't realize that class Ds can be as bad as 70%, which that mmat 3500.1 is rated as >70%. I'm used to my Memphis 1500 with 90%.

so your running from your battery 4 gauge and 0 gauge? like the 4 gauge will go to some devices and 0 gauge will go to some devices? that isnt bad at all if certain devices require less power then why spend the money on the bigger wire. however it would be more economical to jsut run one big wire to where your devices are located then split that wire to smaller wire. i guess to truly help you out we would need to know what amps or other accessories you plan on installing and what the specs of them are.
