For sale today are two hifonics class-d subwoofer amps - one is 1600 RMS at 1 ohm, the other is 2500 watts rms @ 1 ohm:
Hifonics Brutus BXI 2608D - 2600 RMS @ 1 ohm
I am the second owner of this amplifier. According to the previous owner, he only used it once, to test a sub. When I got the amp, I used it in my trunk to power a 15" tc3000. I never really pushed it, as my system was(is) more designed for SQ than SPL.
This amp easily wires up with 0 gauge and up power wire, and has many useful features, such as a high pass filter, low pass filter, bass boost, etc.
This amp functions 100% and doesn't look too bad. The HIFONICS logo lights up blue and some blue LED's point across the amp.
$225 + $20 shipping OBO

I purchased this amplifier last summer and never used it. I have hooked it up and tested it, that's it. It seems to make a slight "whoosh" when hooked up to your sub, if you stick your face in the sub you will hear it. It does power up and play music, however that was all I did with it.
This is a great amp for SQ, as it has a bass boost with adjustable frequency. Thus, for you guys out there looking for flat response, this could really help. Also, for an SPL-type, it allows you to raise the boost frequency to whatever you want instead of locking you in to 45 Hz. It also has high pass and low pass filters. This amp will easily accept 0 gauge and up power wire and 8 gauge and up speaker wire.
Looks-wise, its not too bad either. The hifonics logo lights up red when powered up.
