2 guage for battery relocation

buddies has a roll of 2 awg wire...would this be good for a battery relocation to the trunk..??

has running about 750rms to the system...

we realize 0/1awg would be ideal but will 2 awg work fine?

You could do multiple runs and be fine. Keep them relatively the same length though.

2 runs of 2AWG is better than one run of 1/0.

Completely forgot he even asked that, but he's talking about battery relocation from what it seems. Does that mean you're going to move the primary to the trunk, and supply power to the starter etc with it? o.o

I would not move the main bat to the trunk to much bad shit can happen and almost no benefits

yes that is what he would like to do...he's done a engine swap and is tight on space

Well, the only thing that could go wrong is if you do not have a large enough wire, and remember, current will ALWAYS be flowing in that wire, so I would recommend 2 or 3 runs of wire from the battery in back to where the normal battery wires are and do it that way personally. There is no problem, except if you use a normal lead acid car battery, it releases hydrogen gas while charging and under a load, so vent it or get a sealed battery of the sort.
