2 DC XL 12s or 15s

So I thinking of running 2 DC XL 12s or 15s in an 08 surburban on cresendo 5500 or a DC 5k depending on how much I feel like throwing down. Anyone have any exp with these subs how do you like them how much power do you run on them.

M2? Had one catch fire. Couldn't get anything but a peaky response, very inefficient. Tried 4 different boxes and they all peaked high with steep roll off. No matter if tuned at 32 or 38. Just my experience over a 2 year time frame.

I was thinking m2 I just sold 2 level 3s never had a problem out of them and I can get the 12 xls for 400 a piece, but was thinking about sundown x-12s are first
