i was thinking of getting the the mmats d300hc. this sucker is going to pull out some wattage and so i was thinking if there is a device (this could be really obvious or not exist) which will let me unevenly divide the watts between the sub and speakers. is this what tri mode is? i want about 1000-1500 going to my sub and about 200 watts (which is 100 watts each) to the speakers. buying two amps is no fun. wiring no fun.

You would be better off buying two amps that suit your needs better. The idea that your talking about doing is a lot of custom electronic work. Resistors, capacitors and transformers involved. gonna be touch.. just get two seperate amps.
