thats true but you have to look at it from this standpoint as well.

i paid $289 a piece for 15" RE sx's...the same sx's are now like $450 bucks or so.

you get what you pay for, but RE just pulled the plug on the little guys. cant blame them, they ARE a business after all. lest we forget Scott from Fi designed the mx...which to me says...how much of that $700 is getting what i pay for, and how much is RE's pure increase in profit?

scott knows what hes doing, hence the reason i believe i can still get RE quality with a Fi price tag.

i really haven't even put the mj's into the running since i know dont like to take random chances on shit that ive only heard of a couple weeks ago. nothing against them, i just haven't researched them enough.

oh im sure re is making a great profit of that sale,im a re dealer and the prices are great on everything except the xxx's and mx's really,but thats thier super sub to to say.

i understand that totally. im just saying i dont feel right spending $700 on 1 sub.

i wouldnt mind having 2 '04-05 XXX's. friends got 1 15" off 2k and its an awesome subwoofer. gets ridiculously loud and its an absolute monster in the lower freq.

i want the Bl's but im just scared that i wont be able to max them out.

the Q's are an option, but if they get about as loud as mags then i want something else. mags are good but im willing to sacrifice sq for more output.

havnt heard it but ive looked at it, and he was happy with, but i dont know how much size difference there is between them

4 doors arent that much bigger but the difference is noticeable. what kinda power does he have?

from the way i took it they are a more spl oriented than the Q, i would take the little drop in sq for extra loudness

ive thought a few times about 4 15" BLs or Qs, but i just dont feel like spending money

thats the thing. 1meangta claims he needed almost 2k per to get his moving real nice. my amp CLAIMS 2960, but like ive said, ive heard that these birthsheets are just randomly generated numbers and not actual benchtests, and the actual output is closer to 2500w.

this means 2500 watts split between the 2 is only 1250w, a far cry from what 1meangta says he liked on his Bl's

if you do decide to go with some 15s you won't find a better deal than the alphas... alot of people claim there high output systems sound good, but something that peaky just won't sound good for music.. a narrow peaky bandwidth is efficient thats why the numbers are high.. i have yet to find a woofer to best the alpha in output and actual sound quality for musical purposes. they don't put up the higest numbers but they get LOUD as hell and sound great doing so.. the SX doesn't compare not even the XXX(05).. a pair of alpha 15s with 3kw with a low tuned box(35) would bring you in the 148-149 area and sound excellent on any music you throw at it... KILLS the old Brahmas and XXXs in output and sounds as good with no roll off after 60hz....
