2 18" in an explorer sport

1 ohm is the final load.
i was told by a few people that it can run @ .7 ohm daily. i was actually worried about this and wanted to go higher anyways, but i didnt want to get dual 2's and wire it down to 2 ohms. the only other option i saw fit was the dual 1 ohm config, which fi said sits @ .7 ohms, but i lucked out and they all sit at a true 1 ohm. figuring in rise, i am assumeing i am within the safe operating loads of the amp anyhow.

will be doing a voltage drop too see if im dropping somewhere, and also am planning to pick up some more 1/0 and just ground straight to the battery and guarantee a good ground.

when can we see a video? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

when i figure out whats going on with the amp.

i didnt take any videos because they are not worthwhile right now. the subs just barley get some excursion going before the amp cuts off. maybe something this weekend. sorry to disappoint //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif

i have a 260a alt and 2 optima batts under the back seat

each of my amps are at 1.4

i dont knwo how low the kicker will run daily, i know each one of mine is at 1.4

hope thats not whats happening

well, if i was at too low of a load, it would kick into protect all the time no?

as of right now, i can play the amp allllll day long at ~55-59 volume and it wont kick into protect. but when i start to really demand power it will cycle.

usually it will play until it heats up or you cant supply voltage to keep it happy at lower ohms
mine have never went into protect(knock on wood)
hmm

i read about about a guy (i believe his name was bassaddict or something similar) who had a kx2500.1 off a stock electrical @ .7 ohms and said it ran fine for him.

im gonna go see if i can get any readings for a v drop right now.

**** George. Sorry to hear about the problems. I would think with the HO you have, voltage wouldnt be a problem. What's your underhood battery? Do you have any extra batts. in the back? I hope this isnt it, but if you bought the amp used there could be something wrong inside. The Kicker should have no problem running at 1ohm. Good luck.

just checked he wiring.

there are no voltage drops, but there is noise coming from the subwoofers as well as the speakers (grounded at the same point) as soon as the amps turn on.

i have an everstart maxx battery thats 875cca and some 750 or so ca rated with my 200a alt.

the noise makes me think that its gotta be a bad ground, but is it possible to have no voltage drops AND a bad ground? ive always been told they will accompany each other.

this ****ing sucks some fat *** dick

type r bass owned 4 of these amps, and they all ran @ 1 ohm all day long he said. not to mention he also ran 1 @ .5 ohms with no problems //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
