This is a 3 door extended cab 1998 Ford F150. The customer came in with all of the pieces you'll see in the pics. His products include a pair of Sam's Club spiral technology 1000a batteries, 2) Power Acoustik 1800d amplifiers, 1) Power Acoustik 5farad distribution capacitor, 1) SPL 520 2 channel amp for highs and 2) Digital Designs freshly rebuilt 9015's of the dual 2ohm variety. Tight as a frog's *ss which is what this box would demand with those two amps pushing them. The enclosure I opted to build was our 16 net cubic feet crawlthrough daily driver box. These are kind of common for us here, so it was put together quickly and efficiently. I did have to purchase a pair of 4ga kits to wire it up and a few ins and outs for connections such as battery posts and etc. The customer is a Brick Masonry Team Manager and listens primarily to Mexican style music. We dub it "big tent music". It is primarily a tuba or sousaphone honking along with a polka background. He listens to a few other things but that was primary. I tested it with Randy Travis' voice....just kidding. But he didn't leave any CDs with the vehicle. Here are some pics of the box being built. This one is one half of the front of the box.

This one is another view of the same piece or the other half, not sure which.

This is one half attached to the bottom of the box.

This is a better view of it that might not give you a headache!

More to follow.

This is another pic that shows the two front/side pieces attached to the bottom of the box in comparison to the "can of coke" OR the "CD" for size reference.

This is a pic of the same thing, laid down on the bottom with some of the bracing installed.

This is just another view of the bracing used, might have more pieces than the last, didn't look to see.

This pic is like the "Jack-O-Lantern" view, out of focus, sorry!

SORRY, I'VE GOT ADD and this editing is giving me a headache.

Here is another headache maker out of focus, another view of the lantern effect.

This is from the passenger side with better lighting and in focus, view of some of the bracing.

A pic of the back as compared to the 3" tape measure on top.

Next is a pic of where I silicon the bed first.

Oh yeah, here is a further away view of the box.

Here is a view of the cut line for the bed before being cut.

Here is the mighty Bosche tool used to get the job done.

Here is the finished hole about 3 minutes later.

Here is the hole with accordian boot on it, view from the bed side.

Here is the boot installed view from the cabin side.

This is a view of the amps and cap test fit on the box in the bed. Note, each positive corrugation in the bed floor has two dried beads of silicon separating the box from the bed steel.

Here is a crappy pic of the box from the cabin site.

Here are another two or three views.

I'm still working on the resizing skills, sorry. The box is 16 net cubes after bracing, subs and vent. Vent is 256sq" x 18" depth. The customer, after being told to, put more power on them. Too bad he went with 2) Power Acoustik 3000d amps in place of the 1800d amps, but it definitely has more *ss to it.

One day after the vehicle left with it's owner, he brought a friend that had a crawlthrough done locally with two WORE THE HELL OUT 9515s with a Crossfire 1000d on each one @ 1ohm. He brought him in to have it redone with a box that actually gets off. It currently has a vinyled 8 gross cube vented box with about 1/6 the vent he should have for what he's wanting. I'll try to remember to take MORE pics of it when I receive the truck and get things started, finished and back in his hands. This system will be be going in a '02 Chevy ext cab 1500? with an Escalade front end conversion. He actually went with a higher amperage rewound alternator and had it chromed. We got a good giggle out of the bling when we opened the hood together. His 20year old sister just died somehow, reason for the wait on the system buildup.
