2 15" L7's vs. 2 15" type r's

i was wondering which set-up would have more output in my civic. they will get between 3.0-3.5 cubes a piece ported and a modded bd1500 (1800 rms). i have not found any ported box recommendations for the 05' type r 15, but have heard the L7 will do great in this size enclosure. The l7's are a bit more expensive, but i want to get loud and have some sq. i heard the L7's have great sq, so i was thinking maybe the r's will have similar output and better sq?

what i really want to know is how much volume i need ported for the type r 15. and if it is under 3.5 will it out perform the l7. don't just say typr r or l7, please give me your reasoning.

Smart A**es, if you don't have a good opinon with a reason behind it stfu and don't reply, but if you have some related input on this topic please post. Thanks

I have officially run both subs. The L7 has more output. I do believe the R's do sound really good though. The low notes on an R are smoother. I still run L7's and give them all the credit they deserve. Ported they are retarded loud( with the power they need). If I were to build a sq setup I would lean toward the R's, the X's, the w6v2's, the rl-p, mag, Focal, W3, Rl-s, Eclipse 8700 series(older), milk, cookies, ham sandwich, bacon etc etc.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i had 2 s12l7s b4 and am about to purchase some again. and i must say, they have insane output in the right box. for output def L7>type R for SQ id guess Type R>L7. but please tell me how your gonna fit 6-7 cubes in a civic? if its possible, it wont be fun

both of u are insane. for 1 the L7 isnt a lownote sub. becuz of its build quailty. they dont handle the power like the R does on low notes and output isnt close really. they arent bad subs, but in the rite box, the juss arent comparable 2 the Rs especially on the low notes. buddy of mine has gone through quite a few L7s becuz he has a lowbass craze and they juss cant keep up. for sealed, i'd go wit L7s, they are awesome sealed.

for the orig poster, i'd get the type Rs, better output, especially down low and have better sq. if u decide to get the L7s i maybe able 2 help u, PM me;)

n00b! you do not EVER seal L7s, its a sin. you dont do it. and L7s go very LOW and do it smoothly. you can come listen to my system when i get it hooked up and ill show u. i went from L7s to a 13w7 now back to L7s, and the L7s sound VERY close to as good as the dubya in the low end.

orig poster...for output, L7 pwns Type R

are u serious, hahaha u have 2 be. u can seal an L7, they are fine. but u gotta be 4real about L7>R. cuz there is no way. ASK typeRbass he had L7s and they crapped out on him everytime he put some power to em, they get loud when they are broke, its tru, he was louder when they were messed up. but lets be 4real.
