2 12's on mb quart onyx 1500

hey guys im lookin for a new setup as i blew my last speaker.. i want to get 2 12's that will get loud as hell cuz i want to compete with them ill be building a box for them so that wont be an issue, i was looking at a pair of aq sdc's, i heard they can get low and i love the lows

any help will be appreciated

or would it be better to get 1 12 that can take all that power??

wow i should have thrown that in there im not too sure on the budget yet no more then 400 hopefully but id like to be in the 300 350 range but if itll be worth the investment id go a tad over 400

look into Obsidian, ive heard really good thing about them.I think there around $135+shipping

Obsidian Audio is a good choice for a daily set up. As far as competing, 2 12s on less than 1500 watts is probably not going to get you far in most cases.

Just throw the new 2012 type R's in a nice big box and make sure your electrical is more than good. Keep it cheap and the power clean.

do u have the amp already? i would say look into the obsidian as well or u can throw like 4 American Bass dx 10's on mb quart onyx 1500.1

DX 10's are 250 rms /600 peak single 4's so that would be good at 1 ohm and there about 65 a piece

the guys that run comps around here usually just match poeple up in the same area of wattage, they clamp they power and put people in the same category so it pretty much just matters on install. yea iv heard good stuff about obsidian too, if i wanted to get another amp could they take 1k plus??

if its for burps, yes they can take a bit over rated power. For daily, I personally wouldn't push it past 800rms or so. Others have been known to throw around 1k to them daily, but I don't suggest it unless you know what you're doing.

SDC's would be a good choice off that power level, low/mid 40's shouldn't be a problem in the right enclosure.

i have a general idea.. small box with alot of port will take more power no?

thatd be loud as hell but i have a really low trunk so i doubt i could fit all that back there unless i wall off my trunk and fire them forward but im too much of a novice to even attempt a wall lol and i already have the amp.. its a **** good budget amp might i say
