I was being sarcastic on the sub dummy. jesus you are stupid. lol
I'm stupid? You say some dumb **** so who knows what you think.

Your preference don't turn a mono channel into a L/R channel. If you ever hear a good tune you will know why you don't have to touch it after it's done. I don't even have my control hooked up after it's set up right. You can play ANYTHING
every now and again I like to to cut a few places to shape the sound dude. also if I lower the tweeters equally it doesn't shift the stage but lowers the boosted top end and vice versa.. lord have mercy.. some recording the **** guitar is too over powering I hate it. its not boosted VIA the speakers its the recording. I have a decent RTA on my phone with a mic made for tuning my home audio system. SMH

you can't tell if I joking or not. that's the FUN part! lol

like I said ill have more control over the system if I use my head units functions. the T/A on it is more than enough and I can vary the outputs from the touchscreen if need be.

one tune doesn't fit everything. you can have it flat and some songs are boosted. you can shape it. your stuck with a recording that you might not care for the mastering.

We don't tune signal flat. Get that out of your head. When you look at our RTA it's not flat 20-20k.

Yes one tune does fit everything. Look at our judging playlist, it's diverse. We cant go change tunes for each song.

Here's one. When you are looking at the RTA on your phone where are you measuring from?

Wow you guys are really getting into it. Cant wait to get on you guys lvl, if ever

thats the sound quality side of things. New school vs old school except losisatool competes and knows the current SQ standards while papermaker does not.

On the loud and clear music side of things, its much much simpler. Which i feel that you are mainly going for.

On the SPL side of things, nothing makes sense lol.

Im not fixing to argue when you get beat you will see.

I said it should be flat for reference purposes. Everyone has different preferences. I'll use a tune for shows then tune to my preference for me..

The mic is placed where the center of my head is. For God's sake. You think im stupid you will see..

SPL is mostly finding the cabins resonance and coupling the front and rear wave..

Youd think sq would be harder to measure then spl. A simple meter reads spl, but what reads sq. How do you know how well something is supposed to sound if youve never heard it.

Listen I really want you to be successful. While it is fun watching you make a fool out of yourself it's not productive.

That's not where you get measurements from. And yes I said plural measurements.

Watch the video series. I don't care if you end up beating me. I think that would be great, it would mean something I said got through to you

Reference headphones to get a base line about tonality. a note pad, a stage diagram of what you are listening to and notes about what you are listening to test staging and imaging.

A RTA measures response. We are judged over the entire frequency range.

No. If you hold the mic too low you will be boosting the highend out the tweeters. To high you will be boosting the mids.

Distance from each driver shapes frequency response.. plus t/a and eqing each channel can throw you readings off..

You welcome..

Thanks for your help though.

Honestly I'm gonna mess with the helix program.

And yes I know what you mean by taking multiple measurments . You measure each drive independently the all of the but you have to have taken and phase correct turn before otherwise you are going to have is u use in Linearly of your measurments.

Distance slurs fr. If you takes measurments fro. Multiple positions your friends at you ears will vary..

real time analyzer with a proper curve. Very easy to measure since the pressure levels arent anywhere near as high, a cheap dayton mic can do the job just fine while spl gear aka termlab magnum costs upwards of 600 dollars to accurately measure the high pressure levels.

You can basically figure out due to how much speakers you've owned and heard. along with seeing how they measure on the RTA. this is all experienced base, not something you can search up.

Really. Watch the video. He shows how to take measurements. You read a few points around your head. Both ears and nose.
