18" FI SSD speaker in a new maxima?

he said $200 for both, I just measured my trunk and it will actually only fit a 12" fi Q if I went FI with a 3 cubic foot box after displacement at 30hz. I made rough box dimensions already. If I get the 12" Q, the box would be 22"x22"x15" using .75" MDF which gives me 3.267^3ft after displacement of the speaker. Then I would make a sqaure slot port with a vent size of 13.5"x2" and make the port length 19.5" which should be tuned at around 30hz. Then minus the port, which is roughly around .293^3ft, it comes out to be about a 3^3ft box. Not sure if that is accurate but that's what I came up with.

I guess i'm gonna order the FI Q today then, i'll keep you posted. I expect it to be loud as fawk. my 2 15" CVR's sucked balls

um a Fi q 12 isn't gonna be louder than 2 15 cvrs

yea i just ordered a 12'' Q for me yesterday and i am going to be running it on a sundown 1500 i recently did a 140.6 with a pbx that is pretty much done for. i expect to at least be breaking a 42 but i will keep u up 2date on what im doin. dont expect to be throwing up crazy numbers

wtf, ok I was talking to my room mate about getting the FI Q 12" and he comes out of no where and says that he has a 15" in his closet!?!? I never knew this lol. He said he'll give it to me for $150 so I think i'm gonna go with that. My 2 15" CVR's were in a sealed box and didn't sound that loud. I thought the 12 would be loud since everyone keeps saying how good these FI's are. don't forget I have my friend with the (2) 12" Type-r's that is still willing to sell to me for $150 also. If I got those, I would put them in a 4^3ft box with a slot port at 32hz. really depends on which one is gonna be louder.

Didnt you say you can't fit a 15"? If you can fit a 15", the single 15" will get louder then the 2 12"s no doubt. More people should be running single 15" trunk setups for what theyre trying to achieve out of their daily cars. Unfortunately, local marketing strategies and word of mouth says 12"s are the chit. If your friend says 1 15"
