1700 watts off one battery?

i wouldnt pay 260 for an optima. maybe 160. you'll have to check the classifieds for a good deal. just make sure it fits (you've got atleast 8x11x7) and is from a reputable seller.

Find some Deka AGM's - They are cheaper than the mainstream brands and Deka makes good batteries //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif - lol seen your post above after I already postede - so yeah what he said ^^^^^^ lol
How much wire should i get for the big 3?

I have a stock alternator (130 amps) big 3... 1/0 ran from a die hard platinum(group 35) to a saz1500 @1 ohm and no dimming whatsoever. Did dim with a reg interstate though. Try using whatever agm batt you can afford It made a big difference for me.

PS. Stinger cig lighted voltmeter on the way just to see how bad the voltage drops.

- I just popped my hood and took some measurements to figure out what I needed for mine... I have 2 gauge ofc right now (I had a spool leftover from my old shop lol) but I'm getting ready to do 2 runs of 2/0 and my big 3 is going to be 2/0 as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

i wouldnt give u 50 bucks for a optima..since they were bought out by johnson controls and moved to mexico they Re garbage

you should just worry about the 1100watt amp sub, the mids and highs does not pull that much current.

you should at least get a volt meter first to see where your voltage is dropping at. worst case scenario, get the $100 agm battery from sams club and you will be set, I never done the big 3 and i am running a Hifonics BRZ 1700.1 with a rockford p1000x4d and a 2 channel 75x2 with just 2 35ah battery with no big 3 and my voltage holds up, but i dont crank it up for 30-45 minutes at a time.

I have a duralast platinum and a 275 singer alt. I big three in bullz audio 3/0. I run a rf t1500bdcp at .67 ohm two 2 channel 200 watt amps and 2 head rest screens and i have zero dimming.. before my ho alt got in i ran my fosgate amp on stock alt and the duralast and it did just fine. But i had it wired to 1 ohm. The duralast plats are good batts mine was only 170 without my core charge. 1700 is feasible but like everyone else said you can't play full tilt for long.

Thanks everyone. I don't like giving myself headaches, so I wont be playing it at full tilt that much, unless I'm being an *** and sh*tting on my friends' setups since they act like they know it all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I agree, you can get a diehard platinum for under 200, thats a good batt. I had alot of trouble with all agms, but optima the most!
