A friend of mine was recently given a deal on 2 15L7s with 2 zx1000.1s with it. He has done some fiberglass boxes in the past, all sealed, and wants to go ahead and make a sealed box for the two 15s that is about 6.6ft3, both in the same chamber. I was telling him he should port the box, but with his space provided and both of us lacking knowledge of how to make a good ported box, he decided that we should keep it sealed.
On one of the subs however, he wants to do an invert mount on it, is there any problem with one inverted and one normal in the same chamber? Also, what else would we have to do to invert the sub properly(wiring changes or anything)?
He also was thinking about using the material that you put inside of sealed boxes to make it feel like it is a bigger box(completely blanking on the name of it right now...). What do you guys think of this idea? worth it or not?
Also, how would his 2 L7 15s sealed in that fiberglass box compare to my 1 15L7 with a zx1000.1 in a ported box that was professionally made out of MDF? Any help is greatly appreciated, we both still have a lot to learn with car audio.
