Racism is effecient. A quick and systematic way to categorize people, make assumptions, and react accordingly.
Why are you feel that there is a difference between being racist in 2007 is so much worse than being racist in 1807?

Don't tell me racism is more pervasive then. Racism was government sponsored then and it is government sponsored now. Racism is wrong in any time period.

Are you saying that we shouldn't be racist anymore? Wouldn't that stand to reason that being racist in 1807 is more acceptable than being racist in 2007?

I seriously doubt that racism in unto itself is that much different now than 200 years ago. It is just displayed differently.

The same people who claim this article is completely biased or the media in general is biased are probably the same people who troll right wing websites looking for "the truth." Its funny how bias is ok when you agree with it. Especially when it comes to race, it seems whites are equally as defensive as blacks or other minorities. Everyone looking for that hidden message. And everyone wants to point fingers saying the other side is the one that perpetuates racism.

Now BET is probably the last place for unbiased journalism, but as simple a case this is, I do not see why people are looking so much into it. Somebody got pushed. Do you need a whole forensics team on this one. But I do think comparing it to the girl that burnt the house down is kind of a cheap shot.

Actually, I have lots of friends that accept me based solely on my racist viewpoints. Making generalizations is a no-no.

i dont care what nobody say. racism is still alive in this country. some of yaw sit back and say the girl was probably on drugs and she a "negress." Then you say something bout fools w/ gold teeth and all that but personally i dont believe you would say that around a bunch of fools w/ golds in they mouth. i know you wouldnt say it round here.

Anywhere I go. I go Georgia State, and I stroll about Atlanta all the time. My friends and I love trivializing what some people take so seriously. While racism still exists in America, I feel that we are at least at the point where it can be joked about. Everyone is discriminated against in some fashion every day. I don't feel any one group of people has the justification for saying they are the sole targets of discrimination.

In all honesty 7 years is a really tough penalty considering I've seen nig teens knock out teachers before and not even get charged with assault.

But if I burnt down my own house, I'd expect less than probation. Probably the only case that they could compare to a white folk cause white folk dont do anything wrong of course.

As in the previous post, "aint no hate in my heart shawty". Mr. Boi was calling the gentleman he posted a female.

In distorted logic

shawty = female = bitch. Therefore, he called the person he quoted a bitch. That makes me chuckle. Why not say bitch as it is shorter and easier to spell than shawty. Furthermore, it's more clear.
