15" TC3k Enclosure

Because //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And if I were to fill the empty spaces with the port and redesign it the airspace would increase and Id really like to keep it at around 4 cubes for the sub...
What I do in that situation is take advantage of the opportunity to increase port area //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

not sayin its not a cool design, but it just doesn't seem practical, and I can't imagine all those twists and turns are great for air flow, but I'm sure you'll build it perfectly and it'll sound just fine or how you intended anyway

How do you take into acount the rounded port edges? Or do you just count them at 90's?
Nope, used google sketch-up to highlight the areas the port doresnt take up and it tells me how much area it is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif then just multiply that times the height and I get the volume //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And even if I didnt have that feature I would just lay it down on paper and do the math for the areas of the circles that would be the kerfed areas and figure it out that way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yea, but she's already got 64 sq inches //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I'm talking about port tuning //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

you can calculate tuning from port volume too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif assuming you know the height and width

Oh, lawl...well they wouldn't really account for anything other than a smoother edge...because the width wont really change at all from them..

but.. round edges would change length somewhat lol.

what is length and height //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif:confused://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Well each port is 32 sq inches and 58.75ish inches long

Hey guys,
Just posting up some plans for my enclosure build for the 15" TC-3000 on it's way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

It will be 4.19 cubes, tuned to 26Hz, and 64 sq inches of port area //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Here she is..

Im hoping to start this in the near future but I don't think it's going to be the quickest build in the world //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

but i want to build that for me se's now

Honestly, I looked at the design... and while it looks whicked. As Rash said, it wouldn't be efficient. Those bends would kill the air velocity... and who the hell has a triangular-shaped box?! It's inefficient as far as space... You could always square it off and make the edges into amp racks... unless it's gunna be a HT set-up. Then leave it like that. It'd be baller.

Kind of reminds me of my 4th order BP I made when I was bored...

Haha, it is for HT //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And that looks purty good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

(BTW, I finalized that design and it now is a bit simpler of a port setup but still same size)

now that should be a mega pain in the ass to build right.

getting both ports to be exactly the same as the other is a nightmare in it self.

....

but is a sick desing.

if I did something like that, id have to put a 1" thick plexi top on it, and put led lights in side.

as to not hide all the hard work that went in to it.

You could try to make the port longer, but there might be other reasons with the box won't extend lower, or even the sub. You'd have to reverse...

i didn’t get to hear it yet. He’s supposed to install it this weekend.
