15" Box build

Okay so I found this box and it is tuned to 35Hz which seems a lot easier then trying to make one myself so I'm thinking about going with this design.
Only thing I am worried about is that the front cutout has a height of 14.5", I'm guessing I would probably have to change that to a 16" front and have it overlap the top and bottom cutouts compared to what this says in order for the 15" sub to fit on the face.

I'll get you a measurement of the sub later, but make sure you stick a 45 in that port to make the corner of the port 4.5" wide too

Also in my box I made the 45's about an inch wide, then cut the angles

By 45's you mean taking away the 90 degree angle at the corners right?
How important is this and what does it exactly do?
In the port, the 45 and roundovers help keep the port width more constant during the turn and reduce port noise. Inside the chamber itself 45's can help reduce the chance of standing waves and strengthens the corners of the box.

Alright looks like 16" will get er done then eh. Thanks for all the help.
Did you make that 45 that went in the port an inch wide as well, or is that one wider?
You have to make it wide enough so that, when at a 45 degree angle, the port stays the same width. Like if you look in the box plan that I posted, you see the "Port Width" line going at a 45 angle. If it went all the way to the corner, it would be a lot wider than 4.5"

Okay so this is basically the same box as the previous one I posted but I extended the depth .25" to compensate for the 45' on the port. How does this one look guys? Is the port tuned correctly? I do not want it any higher than 35Hz (the port is 4.5"x14.5"x28").

Box is @ 4.15 cubes after displacement of port but before woofer goes in so Im guesing it will go down to about 4 cubes once its installed.

I cant really think of anything else that needs to be done to it. Let me know what you guys think!

What's the double baffle for, flush mounting?
I don't believe I will have the room to do a flush mount and have it look nice, If I did, the edge will be about .25" thick. It is just there because it was on the original plans and I hear people do it to strengthen the box as well.

Should I Ixnay on the double baffle? Maybe put a brace in there instead?

Just fyi, port length doesn't end at that 7.5" piece. It ends at a 45 degree angle as well, like in the box plan I posted. But that looks much better!

That is what I figured, so the port will be roughly 30". This would just lower the tuned 1 or 2 Hz correct? If so then I am fine with that.

I wouldn't do a double baffle, just not needed in this kind of setup. I'd put the sub to the far right, and put a brace next to the sub cutout bracing from the baffle to the back wall. Then I'd put a vertical brace in the middle of the chamber.

Will do. Should I make the brace uniform (all one piece), or make two separate braces one going in vertical and one in horizontal direction? I have also heard of people just using wooden dowels for braces, or should I just use some scrap mdf, what would you recommend for a brace?
