140db With Two 8's? T Line Enclosure

Can it be done?

I've seen one guy say he metered 139 - 140 with a T Line, but I can't remember the sub. Other than that, nobody seems to have actual numbers.

Im looking at running two SA 8's or maybe X 8's in a T Line and I want to be able to hit 138+ in a daily setup. Thoughts?

I've done 142 with a pair of sundown 8s on Stetsom 3k amp.

Regular ported box though, no tline

Yea. I'd do just two ported x8s on 2000-3000watts

I don't have the electrical for that kind of power and a HO Alt isn't in my future just yet.

Were those for daily boxes or were they tuned high for more volume?

My single does a 136 with a SQ basses tune in a closed up trunk. Just a normal but large ported box

The 142 was I think 1.6 cubes with 2 4" aeros tuned in the low 40s

That's not too bad then. I was thinking I had my hopes a bit too high. I'm really curious about T Line boxes and I might just give one a shot. Don't know if I'll get the same volume, but you guys are all in the upper 130's to 140 so why not.

Any thoughts on the SA 8 vs X8 sound quality wise. Everyone says the X8 is more of an SPL monster than SQ. They're both in my budget so if the X8 is worth it, why not.

Perfect. That's what I was looking for. I've been talking with Chris about a box for a couple is SA8's and I wanted to know where they hit. How clean does your sub stage sound in that setup?
