12s 10s 8s or 15?

Love the 9515 just not a hdd! Im going to build another box tuned around 38hz with more space and extra port area. Also ordering a d.7 oem recone from dd just so noone could say well it doesnt have dd soft parts. Its just as loud as the sp4 and the sp4 was at .35 were the dd is at 1.
Alright, cool! Glad you're happy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Did you watch the vids? If so you would not be doing this anymore
Dude. First of all this is nothing to get excited about. You can do alot to achieve a decent sound. That was a box built to exact spec so there's not much doubt that that sounded decently low....FOR ITS SIZE. He was using a crap camera with a crappy mic and it just sounded like fuzz anyways. If you record with a crappy mic on any sub inside of a car you will likely have the same result. But lets assume regardless of the recorded sound that it went super deep, which there is no proof what frequency that music was playing at. He was driving it with a most likely china made soundstream amp he said maybe 90 watts. That's not exactly 500 watts or 150 db

Do you know who Scott Bulwalda is?

Physics does not "override" box tuning.
Box tuning is based on physics //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

An 18 in a box tuned to 80hz won't play lower than an 8 in a low tuned box (sub-30's).
There isn't any 6.5 subwoofer that can play as low and loud as one double or triple it's size sorry. You can try and make it go as low and it might even reach that frequency, but the box would be huge just like that one in the video and it's power handling would drop to a fraction of its rated capabilities

This is not about how loud it can get. Its about what it can play. If I can get to mid 130s with a 8 under 40hz what would you say?

The funny thing is is its not about what you can get, it's about what the OP had started a thread for advice. I gave my two cents worth to give him some insight, and a couple of you are turning it into a troll thread.

Don't give wrong advice and you wont get trolled. If you don't know and many are telling you you are wrong do some reading and figure it out

Nothing I had said is wrong. If the OP changes the size of his woofers and/or the box he will get different results period. If you or anyone else for that matter is going to deny that then feel free.

Yeah has your buddy got the sp4 running yet. Curious to see what you think of it. Throw a ninja some feedback to bro.
Haven't hooked it up yet, but it looks great. I'll shoot ya some feedback in a second

It's not low and just as loud.

The argument is that they can play just as low.

This^

No, we're trying to correct misinformation.

You have said things that are wrong. You were wrong when you said that smaller subs can't play frequencies as low as larger subs.

Yes, if he changes his subs/box, he will get different results.

Running 4 Tang Band 1139si 6.5s in a CStang ported box and are happy with the lows and the extension. Arguing isn't getting anywhere, results differ for different people and what makes one guy happy another guy donsnt like

What have you been smoking?

Any sub of any size can play any frequency at any loudness like the next sub whether 12/15/18/22/etc...

If you have a 6.5 in the smallest box possibly built with 10k+ power sent to it, yes it will indeed play louder and as low as needed, but it specifically would have to be a sub and not mid range speakers.

Now an 18 with the same power will play just as loud with a 2 decibel difference on a meter, but the difference will be it will last longer aka not burn as quick due to coil sizes.

All the op has to do is make his box smaller and tune the same with the more power and he will get way louder without new subs.

Noob^ an 18 on same power will play 2 db louder... wtf are u smoking this site is so darn funny. Only reason I'm on this one

Wow so back on track. I love the way the ab xfl sound in my box. Its tuned to 33hz. I basically just want same loud but louder. I have been told before that 4.0 cu after displacement isnt enough for 2 12s. But then one 15 doesnt have as much cone area. What about 3 10s? Or 4 10s if they will fit good. Gotta wire to 1 ohm
