12000 watts and one 12'

Jesus that's annoying reading so many of one persons posts in a row. Use the edit button, you don't need a new reply 10 seconds after you put one in. Better yet, think for a second if you've said what you want to say, then post it.

this thread makes my face look like this...

and its no term lab thats for sure. the most it has every been off was 3db. some of are cars were actually louder on term lab, some not. so it was a more around number. so 149.7 give or take 3db
149.7 is very hard to believe. not impossible but yea.

and 3db is a huge difference either way

opinions anyone??
yes. take time to read some of the tutorials people have done. after that im sure you wont be asking this question.

you are young and obviously fairly new to car audio.

you will learn in time.

I will say what no one else has- its a SPL sub because its made for tones to be played like a max of 30 seconds on it - suspension and soft parts are are build **** tuff - there is probably not the cooling built in for street beat or even 1 solid song for that matter, so while it might take the wattage fine for 10-30 seconds its not built to cool itself off with constant power.

And with 6K you should look into some RE MT, Mach5 SPL, DC level 5, DD 9515, even a pair of AQ HDC3 could take 6K after impedance and box rise.

snoopdan did a legal 150 with a single DMX ask him

with that electrical you are probably only seeing an actual 3000w total, maybe 4000w.

And if you actually metered it legal style with a real Term Lab meter it would be in the low 140s.

I'm going to be running 10k + to a single sub for music, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif or at least I plan to. My plans always change - but we'll see :)

Uhmmmmm, The DMX is a good woofer but 2k daily is more than pushing it's limits from what I have read. I have not, unfortunately, gotten to play with those woofers.

I'd be very very careful, there's a strong change it will fry.

VERY few subs that I know of can handle that kind of power daily. In fact, only three or four woofers that I know of...

Best of luck

Unless he has around 2 ohms of rise, no way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif - - None of those subs can handle 5kw daily on music and get beat on...not constantly anywas

The Mach5 I cant comment much on, The MT will die within a shortp eriod of time on that power, The DC would handle it for a while as well as the DD...Which could keep on taking that much power? None listed, sorry. That's too much power for a daily application and a single woofer

SS XXX, TSNS(maybe), RD HWY/RD Super HWY, APXX I could see more reasonably
