12" sub in 4cubes tuned to 32-34???

Digital Design's Z95 and Z Series recommends 3. 4 shouldn't be a far stretch.

TBH, there arent many 12's that want that much room. Only the monsters lol. which seems to be wat you are after. Wat is your compaint about the XXX? or is it just time for something new?

As long as you dont go crazy on power, most subs do well in way oversized boxes.

i dont have it in yet i just want to buy another 12 that i can compare them

As long as you dont go crazy on power, most subs do well in way oversized boxes.

i just keep it right around rms i think it will be fine.

Assuming you're talking about the new XXX, RE recommends 2.2ft^3 on their site for the 12"er...don't know where you're getting 4ft^3 from. They do recommend 4ft^3 for the 15 though.

I believe he's referring to box efficiency, which he is right in that regard. A bigger box will create a larger peak, but mechanical power suffers. The reason why people do small boxes for spl is so they can throw an ungodly amount of power at the sub and not have to worry about it tearing itself apart. The added power makes up for the lack of the larger peak in those cases. But box wise, bigger box and port = more efficient with larger peak.
