12" Fi Q Box Build..Beware 56k.

Here is the box build for my fi q. Sorry I didn't take any pics while building, as I left my camera at home while building at a friends house. I haven't loaded the sub yet since it is sitting under the Christmas tree taunting me.

Specs on box:

2.5 cubes net

Tuned to 30hz

36 sqin of port

Dry fit of pieces. The inside corner wall of the port was also rounded, but I did not have it done at the time of the pic. There is also a 45 degree corner piece on the outside corner of the port.

This is what the box looked like just after construction. UGLY.

Home depot cut my wood so this piece ended up being about 1/8" too long. Not to worry as it was cut off later as you will see.

Pics of after the port was re-painted and all the excess glue was sanded down.

I'd like to add that all the sanding was done by hand. I would have been able to get a better look if I had an electric sander. I'm also without a router, so I can definitely see how it could look better.

That looks great. Should be louder than poop. Oh leave the cat in there, I think large ones can account for gains up to 2dB!

Yup 2.5 cubes. The pics might be deceiving on the size. Outer dimensions are 13.5" tall, 23" wide, and 26" deep.

We have about 10 cats running around our acreage, should I throw a couple more in for good measure? And how loud is poop exactly?
