For anything larger than 8's, I prefer just 1 sub. I like to have some cargo space and you never know when you'll need to haul a dead body plus a box for two subs is pretty heavy, pain to move out of way if you need the spare tire and more weight in general is rarely a good thing. I never could see enough positives to justify hauling around more subs.

like it very much!! bought it blown last winter and reconed it over the spring, just now seems to be broke in pretty good . it can really dig in the low notes even with the box tuned at 33...

Single TC Sounds TC1000 15 2.5cubes sealed. Before that,1 Audiomobile MASS 12 1.25cubes sealed. Before that, 1 JL Audio 8w7 1 cube tuned at 30hz. Before that, 1 TC Sounds TC3000 15 2cubes sealed.

I like single sub systems.

I have run single sub setups for the majority outside of my loudest setup, 2 12" MTX 7500s on 500rms a piece walled off in the trunk of my 89 Cutlass Calais and a dual 12" L5 setup.

I have run 1 12" Kicker L5v1, 1 15" IDQv2, 1 10" IDQv3, 1 10"w6, 1 10" Treo ssi, 1 12" IDmaxV2, and will shortly be running 1 12" IDv3.

In order of favorite to least favorite 12" IDmax, 15" IDQ, 10" ssi, 10" IDQ, 10" w6, 12" L5.

I would be happy to reply to any questions you have about any of the setups.
