I think was he's trying to say is:

He has positive and negative running from the amp to VC1.. Then running to VC2 from there.

As opposed to the diagram where positive starts at VC1, then goes to VC2. And negative starts at VC2 and goes to VC1... Yes?

Atleast that's what I gather from the gibberish. lol

That's exactly right I have it from amp to one coil on the type r in one car and in my other car have my xcon the way it shows on diagram

So just wanted to know if I was running the type r wrong

 
if one coils pos is connected to the others pos and then with the neg it will not matter which neg and pos you hook to the amp because there already connected, so yes its the same thing, both of your subs are wired the same
