?1 JLW0 at 2 ohm possible!?!??! i'm new

i'm new to this and want to know if its possible to wire a jlw0 to 2 ohms

i was looking at jl's site and realized that i cant wire one jlw0 to a 2 ohm load, which pretty much wastes an amps pottential

IF THE JLW0 IS A SINGLE 4 OHM SPEAKER, WHEN YOU BRIDGE IT ON A REGULAR AMP IT WILL MAKE THE LOAD 2 OHM.

Sorry dude, but the sub will still be 4 ohm. You can't bridge a single voice coil sub, and the W0's are single voice coil so you can't change what ohm the amp sees. For these subs you can either use a 2 channel amp or a mono subwoofer amp. They both basically serve the same purpose. To the second part, no, it doesn't really waste an amps potential. Most 2 channel and mono amps are made to be most efficient @ 4 ohms. You will only get around 1.5 times the RMS rating @ 2 ohms that you would get @ 4 ohms.

the only time you will see 2 ohms is either a dual 4 ohm sub or 2 single 4 ohm voice coil subs.
