Sorry dude, but the sub will still be 4 ohm. You can't bridge a single voice coil sub, and the W0's are single voice coil so you can't change what ohm the amp sees. For these subs you can either use a 2 channel amp or a mono subwoofer amp. They both basically serve the same purpose. To the second part, no, it doesn't really waste an amps potential. Most 2 channel and mono amps are made to be most efficient @ 4 ohms. You will only get around 1.5 times the RMS rating @ 2 ohms that you would get @ 4 ohms.
