MTX vs ALPINE

Im looking at getting 2 12" type-R alpines or 2 12" MTX running on a Sony XM1600GXD amp (Mono, 400WRMS 1200W peak).....which do you think is the better sub?

both are good i would lean towards alpine but like i said both are good depends on amp and box as well

Alpine baby, those type R's, in a ssealed box will give you some mad sound.

specially if your lookin for SQ

mtx isn't all their cracked up to be(the rfl is gay). Alpine all the way with the type r subs!!!

the rfl is setting records and mtx isnt "that bad" type r's are a nice blend woofer

ive never heard the rfl but ****...that thing looks like it would friggin shatter my car so its gotta be sweet, but no way could i get that

the rfl is still gay, i would never pay $1000 for a pos sub, i could get two or three brahmas, , about 2 power hx2 15s, and prolly a few strokers that would kill that rfl. No ones gonna spend $1000 for an overrated sub.

mtx does ****....guess what alma gates tried right after ppi but before kicker... MTX, and it flopped....because they ****....definetly alpine, i took second in comp with my 15 inch type r and hit 140db at the dash and 155.4 in outlaw, and it's an sq vehicle....plus the sub that beat me by only 1 db was a 15 inch juggernaut...

thats fine but if push came to shove over room and you wanna be the loudest the rfl would prolly win lol..but if you are listening to music BY ALL means get the brahma
