all you are going to get is a bunch of people partial to one brand or another telling you to get "Such and such brand and it will hit hard."

no different from the car stereo shop except they actually are recommending good brands. Just these brands are ones that you probably dont have much/any expierence with.

The really helpful people are the ones answering your question with one of their own.

Budget - 600 bucks for just the subs, or does this include wiring, a box, amp, a new head unit, door speakers, or what.....what exactly are you looking to do?

what kind of car do you have?

how much of your trunk space or whatever are you willing to give up?

what are your goals?

do you have any equipment so far?

what kind of sound are you looking for?

What kind of music do you listen too?

heres a quick thought, stay away from the shops (as far as buying stuff) and be patient. dont be afraid to buy used, from here in the classifieds, and ask as many questions as possible..

Budget is $600 for the subs only and abou $1400 for all other (indash video stereo, amps. speakers (2x 6.5 and 2x 5.5)

Compact car with good trunk (not hatchback) i can give the whole trunk if needed

My goals are good sound quality wich can hit hard too

If I were in the market for a new sub I would choose:

FI Car Audio Q series - SQ sub that can get loud, detailed and tight, biggest Xmax of the bunch (27mm), options can be added to handle more power, 1000rms, sealed 0.8 to 1.5cuft, $259each /// would choose 1 to be used with a 1000rms amp

SSA Icon - SQL (don't flame me) sub that is built like a tank, has a distinct quick sound to it (can't really explain better), 1000rms, sealed .85 to 1.2cuft, $249each /// would choose 1 to be used with a 1000rms amp

Stereo Integrity New Magnum (not out yet but available in a couple of weeks, I hope lol) - said to be one of the best SQ around, clarity is second to none, Dual2 ONLY, 1000rms, recommened in 1cuft sealed, price around $250each /// would choose 1 to be used with 600 to 1000rms amp.

Image Dynamics IDQv.3 series - SQ sub that can get loud, have a warm sound to it, 500rms, sealed .65 to 1cuft - $299 each /// would choose 2 to be used with 1000rms amp.

Not saying that my recommendation is the best, but I listen to all genre, however more electro, trance, tribal from Tiësto to Sasha to Glenn Morrison, etc...
