I have the amplifier mounted to the back of the subwoofer enclosure.

Everything blends together very well and gets plenty loud. I wound up grounding the amplifier underneath the battery ground in the factory location. I am getting bad alternator whine so I will relocate the amplifier ground to its own chassis location. If I continue to get the alternator whine I will ground the HU to the chassis. If I still get the whine I will have to troubleshoot some more, but I imagine a better amp ground will do the trick.

I have not had much luck with the Bluetooth hands free calling. I am not getting the caller's voice to come out of the speakers. They can hear me fine though the mic, but no sound from their end.

I have all the wire ran for a back-up camera, I was just very discouraged by receiving a bad camera my first try. I purchased through amazon and the company would only issue a refund. I may try to get another one hooked up, but I'm not really in any rush ATM.

Any issues with grounding the amp near the battery ground? The battery factory ground is circles in yellow. I was thinking of grounding the amp where the gray clip is to the right of the battery ground.

Its all showing up for me and looks good. How do you like that HU so far besides the bluetooth?
Thanks man.

I have been waiting for years for a double din active capable HU. I think this unit is pretty great. The cross-over has any numerous x-over points and the slope is adjustable (0, 12, 18, and 24db I believe). Time alignment works fine. I do not have the TA set just due to a busy weekend, but I know it functions fine. There is a listener selector as well so that you can focus on driver, passenger, or just the front as a whole.

Bluetooth works extremely well (minus my calling issue). Loads all my contacts, auto-connects, etc. The USB>iPhone works very well as far as charging and data transfer. It is Pandora friendly so choosing stations, adding stations, thumbs up or thumbs down, etc. is all done on the touchscreen. Same goes for the music loaded on my phone.

My backup camera would have worked well if my camera wasn't a bust. Everything worked correctly when going from Park > Reverse and any of gear. Very quick screen change from backup camera to normal.

One thing I would prefer, not often seen in a Pioneer unit, is a parametric EQ rather than the graphic (I think I have that right). I think it has a 24 band graphic eq which functions well, but I prefer a lesser band parametric.

It has the ability to change the display colors and illumination to numerous different colors and settings.

I've played two DVDs while on a road trip and all of that worked very well.

I'm not really sure what else to mention. The unit is very user friendly and settings are easy to change.

All good to know. I'm looking to replace the stock HU in my evo with something pioneer. Always have used pioneer and always had success so I figure why fix it if it aint broke! Can't decide on single or double at this point. The stock HU is a double, touch screen, and its nice for what it is. I cant stand the interface however, and you can't scroll through USB folders when in motion meaning I can only change albums and such when at a stop light or I pull over. That alone is almost worth dropping it unless I can bypass that. Thanks for the quick little review

No problem. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. I have always preferred to look of a double din to a single din. As mentioned, I have yet to run into an issue with driving and trying to change something. However, I do have my parking break ground bypassed.

I dont even need to engage my parking brake in the evo, it allows me to navigate when Im below ~5mph.. I'll figure out a bypass for that. I know there is one, I just havent bothered to look yet lol
