Started my first install today and so far, so good. My only complaint is its' cold as hell outside, and Ford pick-up doors are a major pain PITA! Got the big 3 done today and almost approx 50 square feet of EDead 80. Tomorrow, new front batt and the head unit. Will be completed next weekend.

System will consist of:

Alpine 9887

2 ID D2 V.3 subs

ID 62 Comps

ID X57

2 RE V3 Amps(mono and 4 channel)

Optima Red Top front batt

Stinger SPV 44 rear batt

Knukonceptz wire, rca;s etc.

Sub box being built by Mike Ingram

Got quite a bit done today. HU is installed, RCA's and remote wire are run, new front batt in. I think I am going to mount the amps behind the drivers side seat. I am so tight for space and I really don't want to mount them on the box.

I am really impressed with the Edead 80 and the Alpine HU. I can barely hear the truck and road noise while driving, even with the music low...what a difference!

So far the Alpine 9887 is fantastic. I spent almost an hour adjusting settings, etc. Sounds fantastic even with crap stock speakers. It takes a bit getting used to the controls, but you get the hang of it after a while. The IPod interface is excellent. Good stuff.

Next weekend, amps, subs, speaks....COMPLETE!!!

I'm really impressed with the Edead80. It's thick stuff and very easy to work with. Def as thick as Dynamat Extreme and half the price.

How would I run the ID 62's active? I'm pretty much a noob at this....that sounds complicated!

Here is the box

1.2 cubic feet after displacement with 15 square inches of port tuned to 30Hz

Vinyl it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif looks good and good electrical, wiring to get full potential out of amps. plus room to upgrade later if you should feel the need. should scream and sound good. nice first build.

props.
