05 acura TL system mod advice

Starting to look into moding my 05 acura tl at first just wanted a head unit but after research in order to keep my sub half to get a different amp. Which i don't mind, but the question is don't want to replace the stock speakers should I just in stall a 5 or 6 channel and get all the speaker or just a mono for the sub and use receiver amp?
