im going help my friend out with his install. is there a gromet to run the power wire through the firewall or do I have to drill?

yes...down low in the center of the firewall....you will have to put a hole in it though...was able to fit my 1/0 through it so its plenty roomy.....

just pull the carpet and youll see the grommet on the inside of the car....just at the bottom of the dash...
