It's worse than I thought. I was watching my voltage gauge as I played some music. Volume goes to 40 undistorted. I can turn it to 26 all day and be fine. The gauge stays around 13.9v - 14.2v on music. If I go above 26 into the 30's where I like to jam bass music the gauge was droppin into the 10's of volts. Thatsa no goooood. I will prolly add an additional second, identical battery after the H.O. alternator.

AND.... had to replace the replacement alternator last night. I wasn't even playing my music loud. Started out on the drive to work. My dash lights seemed dim... I just figured it's 5:30am, I am still sleepy. After work my windows were slow to roll up and down. Halfway home the bass cut out... then the CEL came on.... then the airbag light. Turn signals would not show up on the dash. When I parked it still 45min from home she would not restart. I lowered the back seat. The voltage was 8.9v on the stinger. YIKES!!! Luckily when I had the battery tested after the new alternator install it was still good but only 53% charged. The 200+ amp alt is coming soon and I have the removal and install down to 20min.

Hey if I get one of these Ioxus something something 31 Ultra Capacitor... do I fuse that thing? The chain is finna be (under the hood) the 200+a alternator - Die Hard Group 124R AGM - (in the back ) Ioxus Ultracapacitor group 31 just before the amps.
I have a 300a Circuit Breaker on the firewall under the hood and fused distribution with mini ANL fuses out back. Talk to me guys!

Id probably fuse based on the max charging amp rating

I'm not sure if it's necessary...but fuses and blocks are cheap compared to a new cap
