Hey Kracked_dude You should go to a shop & have a listen for yourself. I have listen to the JBL's which sound nice for the price. They need some EQing to get them to open up. The tweeter is warm, but kind of flat sounding. The upper midrange in the mid wasn't harsh, but kind of dull... -

Yes cross-over can go bad, but if your tweeters stop working & one mid isn't working while the other one has distortion you could of blown your speakers. That amp is rated at 205rms- 14volt per channel. You say you the gains a little bit more then halve way up? How long have you had those... -

Why not just go active ? I think Morel tweeters are 6 ohm thru 8 ohm. -

$325 is very pricey for those older eclipse speakers. Ask him to let them go for $150 Was this set out of his car or board? I'm sure they are used & I would pay that amount for a set of speakers that aren't warranty. -
