    Tuning for Rap

then technically it isnt the box that is tuned, the driver is the determining factor. i was just under the impression that you made a typo in saying you "tuned your sealed box". my mistake

    5 re8's quiet!

ABC is junk??? Why do you think that? have you ever built one or heard one that was made the correct way? i have had great luck with mine and i love it! it doesnt hit as hard as my old setup ( 7 cf tuned to 35), but it really does sound great in all kinds of music. Of course there are some...

    sub in port

Yeah it does kinda remind me of the Power wedge but its not the same at all, actually now that i think about it that design may work well for you jellyfish, take a look at it. http://www.jlaudio.com/enclosures/HO110RW7.html I know that they carry these boxes at my local shops so maybe you...

    My 1st box almost done

Great job on your first box! Its no small task to build a folded horn as your first box, especially that type of design.

    sub in port

i dont think that would work to well although i kinda want to see what happens, i think you would have some big cancellation problems with the front waves of the driver mixing with the rear. plus i think you would encounter alot of port noise. Not to mention that the volume that the port holds...

    Confused on box Specs:help:

no problem, sorry but i have never worked on one of those so i really cant help much for the dimensions, the best way to start it is just go out and measure to see what you can fit.

    Sealing Q's...

in those kinds of tight spots i just get some glue on my finger and the use my finger to make a nice bead across the joint, but if you glue is set up well and its not too thin i would think its ok.

    Calculating Cu.ft. In Fiberglass

Well yeah there is an exact science to this too, just simply build it and plan on it being large, figure how much air space there is when you are done, now look at your numbers, you needed 1ft^3 you are at 1.1, 1.5, or 1.9549349, it doesnt matter which, now just add the correct amount of filling...

like many here.... encloser help :)

hmmm, im not really sure because its inside your truck cab pretty close to you anyways, so i dont think it would make much of a difference if any. the only thing i could see happening is that if you faced it backwards like towards the glass or the back of the cab you may gain a little bit of low...

    Confused on box Specs:help:

ok, rockford says 1.3ft^3 per sub tuned to 32hz. so with those specs you are up to 2.6cf, and after displacements you will be building a box over 3cf. so if you can spare the room and want somthing else i would say build your box so the subs will be seeing about 2cf each. 4cf for the subs plus...
