Sealing Q's...

When you make a slotted box, there's some spots on it that are difficult to seal. For instance when you put the top of your box on, how do you seal behind the port extension and inside the port itself? When i encounter this problem, i just simply seal it on the outside. Is this right?

sorry, captions are hard to read. The first one says "Like Here In The Corner " and the second reads "This is what i was talking about when i said sealed from the outside. The black stuff is the caulk. Is this what you're supposed to do when you cant seal from the inside?

but the cocking gun was so so big, i couldnt get the top corner of the front piece. is there anything wrong with what i did?

in those kinds of tight spots i just get some glue on my finger and the use my finger to make a nice bead across the joint, but if you glue is set up well and its not too thin i would think its ok.

what he said, I just used my finger to get corners that where hard to reach with the gun.

finger + wood glue + flashlight + mdf dust = easy.

so wood glue can seal...no one answered my question, is it bad to seal from the outside?

I mix mdf dust and wood glue together and use it instead of silicon.

Squeezeable tubes of liquid nails work pretty good...

yea you can squezzable tubes of silicone too....but for the third time, is it bad to seal from the outside?

Nope. But make sure your joints are bonded together well enough. I usually seal both the inside and outside.
