I just saw a PMR rerun, and mad mike installed an equalizer under the head unit. As he explained what it was to the person he said something along the lines of, "and when you want it to get real loud, crank all these knobs to the right.":rolleyes:

I've got an entry level eclipse deck from 2-3 years ago and it has it, so I think they all do.

I was wondering what effect on a system the voltage from the head unit causes. My head unit is an entry level eclipse and its only 2.7 volts.

Go to a car audio store and listen to different brands of speakers to find what sounds best for your ears. I don't have money for components so I ended up getting a set of these which I have enjoyed a lot after getting an eclipse amp hooked up to it...

best bet is for u to listen to the different sets of speakers in your price range, something that sounds best for one person may not be the best for another person

I think you need to relax when someone asks for an opinion. Whats wrong with being 17 anyways? I think we all used to be 17 at one point. This guy may be "teh No0b" or whatever people like to say but theres no reason to insult him. I do agree with the first part of what you said though.

I have a 3403 eclipse HU and i love it, but I'd just like to mention it was their entry level cd/mp3 deck from a few years back and it doesn't have any built in equilizers or anything to fine tune the speakers. I don't know a lot about car audio so somebody else may want to comment on this, but...
