    Tear...

Its an amazing sub if you put it in the right box. the first box i had it in was way too small, and the sub was choking. it still played loud, but after putting in my bigger box it was amazing. the sub hits low and hard, and is great all around sub. as soon as i get this current issue resolved...

    Tear...

I wanted the Rs because two 12s of them I figured would be a lot louder than my single 15. Every sub in a bandpass ive heard is louder and hits harder than in a sealed or ported box. Im not sure how I blew it.. and actually still have to take it to a shop to get it tested, but initially I...

    Tear...

So my CW15 blew a few months ago, and im just now having the time and money to look into a new system. I would just replace the sub, but my feeling now is I would like a little bit more boom. It was paired to an MRD-M605 amp, which I wish I could use, but frankly I doubt it. Im either looking...

    MRD-M605 error

So a few nights ago, my Alpine MRD-M605 amp started blinking "CUR" for excessive current. After looking online and testing in my garage until 2am, I thought I had it fixed. It plays (somewhat) at VERY low volumes. I checked the sub, it all looks good, I rewired the wires going to the box...

    "Crimping" ? KnuKonceptz Wiring help...

Uh. First I use a vice. When I dont have a vice, always, I resort to pliers. You get better results with pliers anyways.

Pioneer DEH-P8MP - I want to change color LED output to AMBER from Blue, Please Help.

Not true. You could do it. But uh... not with a boot. What you need is a little sheet that basically refracts the light. You will have to find one opposite of the initial color on the color wheel (orange?) and go from there. You may not be able to get an exact match, but you can try. Ive even...

Box help for 2 type argghh 12's

Very very big. 5$ plz? For sealed, its about 1-1.3 cu. ft. a sub, so your looking at ~2.3 cu. ft. Ported, its roughly 2 cu. ft. a sub, but if it were me I would do 4.4 cu. ft. for 2 Someone double check me though.

If you had a bare wooden sub.....

Not sure about the main part, but do something cool, (consider like sub/amp company, its related to your sub, legal, and could be cool and grafitti style if you prefer), then like continue a small pattern sort of on the sides or whatever from the main, and wrap it all the way around the sides or...

    How many db?

200 billion Just tell them its loud and be done with it. It wont hit anything "impressive" for an SPL application due to the nature of the thing, and its tuned at 32, so thats gonna hurt you too. It really doesnt matter, tell them its loud, and then blast it. End of story.

    quick question on installation costs

Yeah... wiring and all the installation is not as hard as it sounds, its just nerve wracking the first time beacuase your inexperienced. Consider installing it yourself and seriously weigh the possibility before devoting yourself to a shop. But to answer your question... I would estimate 150$...

    Disadvantages of 0 awg Wire

Just make sure you have enough power going through. As I recall, if you run like 0 gauge for a 12v application.. results may be a little less than what your hoping for. For car audio, its fine if its a powerful setup.
