So true. Burping is so much different than playing music, let alone bass race. With 5 8s, or 3 12s, expect to be bass racing the 139.9, even the 129.9 if you car is bad on the mic.

Positive AQ goes through Korea, and I believe they both use a Zenon board, Jacob just put's higher quality parts in Sundown amps. They are both stable down to .5 if you have good electrical.

The Qs aren't what they used to be. If it's one of the newer ones within the past few years, it's not really the SQ driver everyone thinks it is. The Q sounds good, don't get me wrong, but Fi has focused a lot more on it's output recently. So comparing the Q to the 9500, both in optimal boxes...

Can't think of anything JL excels in... SPL they get smashed by your typical Sundown, DC, AQ, Fi, IA, Crossfire... SQ they get smashed by Arc Audio, Rainbow, DLS, Focal, Zapco... Alpine makes a solid headunit, thats about it. They have good bang for your buck speakers/subs around that price...

If your BTL is a different impedance than your Q, that could be a problem. You said you refuse to turn up your gain because you did it with a DMM. Why not give it a shot and see how it sounds? Tones vs music, you should be able to turn your HU up higher when playing music than tones...

I had 2 SDCs off of a single 1200D. The subs sounded okay.. I was tuned to 36hz though... They did get loud!! The amp is great too, very powerful, easy on the current. Solid pick of equipment.
