DSP - Mix of Aftermarket Amp and Stock Radio

My local shop advised me to run the 3.5" dash corner speakers off the factory radio and the door and rear deck speakers off the aftermarket amp. For reference, I am putting in Hertz audio throughout, but I currently have a nice 4 channel amp and didn't want to have to add a 3rd amp to the mix (I have one for the subs as well). I have a DSP in the mix, but not sure how that works with the dash corner speakers running off the factory radio.

Will this work? Do I need the dash corner 3.5" coax speakers? Thanks.

3.5's on the dash can help with sound stage for sure. running them off the factory radio could mean they just don't need as much power to blend in.

Dash corners - replacing factory 3.5" with Hertz Deci 3.5" Coax
Subs - 2 - RF P3 12" in sealed box
Power T600.4 for speakers
Power T1000 for subs (certificate show 1,584 watts at 2 ohm)

Good catch. I was going to go with the Rockford Fosgate DSR1. I don't have to go with that one, but would look good with the amps and seems to have good online reviews.

I already have the amps and subs. I ordered the door and deck speakers as well. I have not purchased the DSP or the dash speakers yet. For what it's worth.

I think that RF DSP is 8 outputs. You could run the rear components still with the crossovers, same with the doors and only use 4 dsp channels and 4 amp channels. Probably why they want to use the radio to power the dash speakers.

You would need another 4 channel to run all the components active off the DSP and still need a 2 channel for the dash.

Omit the dash speakers, use the DSP for grabbing the signal from the OEM head unit to run the amplifiers and just power the components. Just set the DSP crossovers to full range and use the passive crossovers with the components. I am guessing the main job of the DSP is being a Line Out Converter basically. Should still be crazy loud.

Thanks for the input. Yeah, the Hertz stuff is awesome. I had it in my old truck. Yeah, that DSP functions as the LOC as well. Gonna be sweet for sure! Thanks again. I may run them off the factory radio to just see how it is and can always disconnect.

No problem. I would definitely add to the system in the future with an amp for the dash. D4S has a 10 channel amp!!! Something to ponder lol.
