Featured My 2007 ford ranger 4x4

Facts! That's why subs and cars go together so well.

Engines and subwoofers are nothing but air pumps. The more air they move, the more HP and SPL the produce.

Piston bore = subwoofer SD.
Crankshaft stroke = subwoofer xmax.
Intake and exhaust systems = ports, tapers and flares.
when it comes to 1/4 wave, actually electricity tuning can work the same. A radio tower is 1/4 wave monopole or 1/2 wave dipole tuned, just like sound resonators are, but the speed of electricity in the wire is way different than sound lol

I'm way off topic of thread now haha, I'm just saying like you are though it's sort of the same physics applied differently. 1/4 wave tuning works for electricity and sound both. Top pics radio towers, bottom pics sound tube resonators:

And, that's why we have QUARTER WAVE resonators!

My home subwoofer is a Tapered-Tapped Quarter Wave Tube/Pipe (T-TQWT/T-TQWP) or negative flare Tapped Horn.

Hofmann's Iron Law = efficient, low, small...pick 2.

I chose low and small.

Positive flare = efficient & low.
Straight flare = ease of build, no angles.
Negative flare = small & low.

Ah now I'm jealous haha. I designed a coffee maker tline for my POS 8" I have in a sealed box for HT am too whatever to do anything but design it.

That's really probably the truest sound IMO or that I'd want outside of IB would be tline-horn-tapered/flared line whatever worked the best. Anyone who reads this I'm not designing atm please don't email me.

This line was in a larger pickup truck but he did over a 145 at 36 hz iirc on an audiopipe 1500:

Super efficiency. 145 db with 1200-1500 watts at 36 hz with 8x $13 blaupunkt on sale 8's.

I think you went a little overboard on the alternator.

I am ashamed for your! I expected better from you! We are a group of people who would love to fill our cabs with 160+ db's and you have the gull to say someone went overboard on a modifications to the electrical? SHAME, SHAME! That's like telling the waitress they gave you too much bacon.

There is a 2 x 12" BP4 enclosure bolted underneath this coffee table. I built the table in 1998. I originally built the enclosure for 4 x sealed 12's for my brother's Ford Escort. 1 of these days I'm going to build another enclosure for the table, like a TH. The Lightening Audio 12's are making noises like the surrounds have deteriorated.
