Featured Help with what to buy

Hey guys, I have a few questions about audio systems. Currently I have 6 6x9’s and a Skar 15 powered by a 2k Skar amp but I have some flaws (the 2extra speakers are spliced into door speaker wires.)

Im looking to go all out and have an absolutely killer system. I was planning on going with American bass for everything.

A list of what I was thinking about buying:
4x Godfather 6.5” midrange speakers
4x 700CR tweeters
Some kinda 4 channel amp
I also need 2 shallow 6x9’s for front door speakers.
Stunt wall for above the rear seats (4 speakers 4 tweeter holes)

My biggest questions are:
Will I need 2 amps to run 10 speakers and 4 tweeters?
Will audio splitters work instead of a 2nd amp?
Signal processor? Will I need one for super clear sound?
Any other suggestions?

Was thinking of downsizing my sub to either dual or quad 8’s.

Overall looking for the loudest clearest sound without spending $1500 to get there.

Currently have 4 6x9 CT sound speakers and they’re great.

Sorry for the long post, thank you for any help.

A stunt wall firing at the back of your head and all door speakers running together is going to sound awful.

If you insist on a doing that I would recommend a separate 4 channel for the stunt wall with RCA "gain knob" so you can turn it down/off when you get tired of it.
(2) 4ohm 6.5s on channel 1.
(2) 4 ohm 6.5s on channel 2 .
(2) 4 ohm tweets on channel 3.
(2) 4 ohm tweets on channel 4.

You planning on running active crossovers?

Do you have an aftermarket headunit? A line output converter would not be needed.

Thank you for the info. A stunt wall is the only way I could see being able to add 4 speakers and 4 tweeters. And I want loud clear sound. Not necessarily bass.

I’m pretty new to sound systems, so I apologize.

What are active crossovers?

I have an aftermarket head unit from eBay. Sounds just as good as my pioneer did.

You won't have any bass with a sound wall alone. 100hz on a pro audio driver (like AB claims on those) will knock the power handling down to somewhere around 50 watts (more than likely less) before hitting mechanical limit of the driver.

One guys at work did something similar to what you're planning and he had to add woofers to meet up with the PA drivers and get low enough to hear the kick drums and lower guitar frequencies. It sounded OK playing country and classic rock but anything else really brought out the limits of his system, it really didn't sound good.

You can have as many speakers as you want on any one channel. Just have to make sure the collective impedance level of the system is equal to or higher than the lowest impedance the amp is rated for.

But generally its best to run similar speakers on the same channel so its easier to set crossovers and dial in your sound profile. For instance all the tweeters on your passenger side should go to one right side channel on your amp, all the mids on the passenger side should go to one right side channel, so on so forth

I do have a sub so I will have bass. What are other options instead of a stunt wall? Single boxes in all 4 corners? Tweeter locations?

Is impendance hertz?

I’m realizing I have more questions than I thought.

He added actual woofers not a sub. A sub won't "meet up" up with a pa mid frequency wise. It'll leave a hole in 100-200ish hz range.

What vehicle you working with?
