Hi Guys-

I recently picked up a Pioneer 10" TS-WX1010A Sealed enclosure active sub with built-in amp. I'm trying to install this into a 2007 Honda Accord. Stock speakers I believe, with aftermarket Dogen(chinese) Android touch screen. Again the display is already installed and working fine for awhile. I'm just trying to beef up the sound a bit. The sale price of the sub was to good as I'm not looking for competition winning sound.

So, the power connections seem straight forward as I bought the amp wiring kit. It's weird though because the harness the sub came with are about 16-18 gauge wires and the connection kit has 8 gauged wires. I'm going to have to solder that small wire into the bigger gauge, is that fine? Overkill seems like but none the less.

Also, am I supposed to just "tap" into the factory speaker wires with this type of amp? I guess the wiring is more mystery than any physical setup at this point. Getting wires routed from the front to the back (through firewall) is the easy part. It's the science behind the signals that confuse me.

I can provide pictures when I get home and I hope this explanation makes sense.
Thanks

WOW!!!
That thing has a 20amp fuse with 2-16g wires for each power and ground, and all plugs into a molex plug. That's a bit of a cheap route to go.

Yes, you would connect the 8g amp wires to those 16g wires. I would cut off the wires, about 6 inches from the plug.

You would connect the speaker input wires to the rear speaker wires of your car.

I used something like this. Works fine.

Since you have an Android radio, it should have RCA outputs, and that loaded speaker harness should have RCA inputs.

Ha, I guess they were counting on cheapos like me. 😂

In the diagram it says the System remote control wire (not included) needs to be connected to the accessory connector in the car's fuse unit from which over 2 amps can be supplied. So can I go to the 12V cigarette outlet ? I assume that's is the remote to power on the sub, wouldn't I want to wire in a switch to turn it on after I start the car ? And it looks like it has some flat socket connectors in the diagram (the not included wire)

Those look handy dandy. I'll probably try those out. I can avoid heat shrink and hot solder. I hope the audio shop in town has them on hand.

As for the Android I'm pretty sure it uses standard wire harness. It was already installed but looks like the one I attached. 2003-2007 Accord Android screen generic eBay crap. It works though

Actually ya you're right. I gotta check to see if I have the connections. Otherwise I ordered a pair of Amazon. Hopefully it fits.

That takes care of the remote signal, but would I just use the RCA AUX IN left and right? What would I use the green sub RCA connection for ?

If it works, I would use the left and right outputs, not the subwoofer output.
Works. Crispy and clear actually. Upgrade for sure. RCA worked. Just wanted to say thanks. You can't see a single wire either.

This was for my son BTW, hence the on sale El cheapo. Teaching moments both in the forums and getting a little elbow grease in there. I can see why it's a specialty...

@Mitchell Fosgate III was this thread disliked because it was way to easy and common to figure it out ?

Yes, you can tag the cigarette lighter's power for the remote.

So I'm back with more remedial asks. Being New Year's I decided to clean up my garage and low and behold I found 2 kicker subs. They like 10 or 12s. I totally forgot I had them. They've been sitting for like 13 yrs. They were my stepsons and I never got rid of em. I was literally LMAO when I found em.

I bought a economy amp which should be enough.

Blaupunkt AMP3000D AMP3000D 3,000-Watt-Max Monoblock Class D Amp

Being everything was wired I didn't have an issue with the remote and power connections. Everything fit awesome. Blue lights come on and amp is on. I'm wondering if I need to swap the RCA connector at the head unit to the Subwoofer connection(the green connection) If I do though there's only one plug what happens with the Left and Right channels? Do I need to get an adapter to tie it to one signal?

As of now I just swapped the power and remote cables to the amp(blue light on the amp shows good). RCA plugs to the RCA Ports on the AMp, and parallel connected the subs. Again I don't know if these subs are good but I hear nothing not even crappy sounding subs.

No. Use use the same Left & Right RCA outputs. The amp has a bass knob so no need to use the radio's sub output.

Have you adjusted the Gain?

There is actually a special wiring harness already made for this Android head unit and that goes together with your Honda Accord 2007, along with dash kit for the radio and Honda Accord 2007 model car fit. This special wiring harness that comes with Apple Car play, GPS, Back up camera, and RCA amplifier and subwoofer too can be added. All you got to do is buy that specific Android model made specifically for that Car Honda Accord 2007. It may cost a little more money. But all you do it hook up the ISO connector, adapters, antenna cables, RCA, backup camera cables, and it automatically does all of it for you. No need to set up the adapter like how you would on a PAC adapter or universal adapter. This specially made harness by the manufacturers, Honda. Made for Honda setups. You'll get all of the functions, back up camera, GPS, Car play, RCA, subwoofer. etc.

=== > The problem will be finding the correct wiring harness for that specific car, Android model head unit you bought, and you'll have amps to your car with Android. The extra work will be in you knowing how many watts to the amps, are used from the subwoofer and how much of the work will the power amplifier handle. All connected to the head units. This looks like a mid range set up stock speaker car, so a low pass filter will be one of the functions to the in built low pass filter to the subwoofer. How many channels then will your amplifier dish out? It could be any number of scenarios. 2 front and subwoofers, or 2 back and subwoofers, or just the subwoofer acting as a mono amp, and no car speakers working. And you'll have just one amplifier to your car. At that specified hz or tuning frequency you have for the subwoofer. < ===

When was this attempted some time August or late July? Or still waiting on making minor adjustments. Don't worry we all know about expenses. I just want to know where this is at. Presently.

EddieG: r u actually serious. I know fake news when I see it. This subwoofer is not working at 1 ohm. It’s okay, 1aespinoza. I actually know electronics.
